Leaving the volume set to about the middle of the tablet’s range produced the best results, from the percussive “oomph” of instruments to dialogue in a TV show. The Fire HD 10 Plus’ speakers are less impressive, but the tablet is still punching above its weight class. It’s worth the expense, though variants without ads seem to suffer from availablity issues (a situation I frequently encounter while shopping for Kindles) you can pay a fee to remove those after the fact, if you don’t want to wait.Į-readers are light and compact, and a proper e-ink dispaly will offer a much better reading experience, but at this price the versatility of a real tablet (albeit one limited to Fire OS) feels worth the compromise. You can double the storage capacity to 64GB for $219.99, but the tablet supports up to 1TB microSD cards, which could prove to be a better deal - especially if there are sales. In fact, with my own project I'm working on right now we've got multiplayer and there is a very cool construction system that isn't too far from how it was in KSP and there's been a number of challenges to support multiplayer with that in the unity engine. I would think implementing multiplayer in a game like KSP would require designing the game from the ground up with multiplayer in mind. I don't know if that's how they're doing it over there, I can only speculate from here. Multiplayer would have been my main focus, so it would've required pretty much rebuilding the game with multiplayer in mind. So what sort of direction do you think you'd have taken it in if it had been up to you?įalanghe: It wouldn't have been all that different to be honest. I'm not sure but it looks like they've mentioned multiplayer? Maybe not directly in the video but I think maybe on the steam product page or something they mention that there might be multiplayer, but I'm kind of intrigued to see where that goes and how they handle that. ![]() If you've read anything about what they're doing with the sequel, is it the direction that you thought the franchise might go in?įalanghe: Yeah, they're taking it to the next logical steps, at least they're adding a lot of the things everyone's always wanted, and we never got a chance to implement, or would've required going for a sequel to implement. If it looks like that then it's gonna be really cool. It was a mix of feelings and I went over multiple opinions of it I think, in a very short space of time.įalanghe: Well it looks very interesting, it looks beautiful, but the one thing I noticed was that the trailer has a little disclaimer at the start it's not game play footage, so from the trailer we don't really know what it's gonna look like. It made me wonder even if the people at Squad themselves knew, I really don't know. I didn't imagine that when I saw this video, it's clear that they've been working on it for a while now, so what I think surprised me most was that it looks like they've been working on it for a couple of years at least and I had no idea. So you didn't know at the time they'd sold the IP?įalanghe: I knew that they had sold the IP to Take-Two, and I knew that they were still working updates and expansion packs so I thought that was the status more or less of the entire thing. At first I was, like, a bit surprised and my first reaction was 'oh, Squad is making KSP 2', and then I saw that it wasn't, they had actually handed it off to another developer. How did you feel seeing the trailer for the first time? What was going through your head?įalanghe: It was a bit of a roller coaster ride of feelings. We caught up with him to find out how he felt when it all got revealed. ![]() In Sandbox, you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology in the game.Developed by Take-Two's Private Division and Star Theory, KSP 2 has been redesigned from the ground up with all new animations and tech, the addition of multiplayer, plus improved mod support.įalanghe found out about all of this after he was tagged in a Reddit post shortly after that very first trailer went live. Take a look at the fans that you currently have on your PC. This leaves very little chance for stagnant air hanging around to warm up and to cause the internal temperature to rise above desired levels. This is what I have found to be the best in terms of keeping things cool and clean. If these conditions are present, it can be argued that the case may remain clean for longer periods of time.

There are three separate innovations that are classified as solar paints. Only recently have the potential for real-world applications emerged. The idea of using a paint-like substance to generate electricity has been discussed within the scientific community for many years. So, what is solar paint? The most important thing to know is that it isn’t a single product currently there are three different technologies that are referred to as 'solar paint'. Though we're pretty far off from actually implementing this technology, it's still exciting to think about. Now imagine a world where we could simply paint our roofs and walls with a type of paint that can generate electricity. However, the hassle and expense of rooftop panel installations often deter people from switching to solar energy. Solar panels are a well-proven technology that save homeowners a ton of money. So far, the lifeblood of the solar industry has been traditional photovoltaic solar panels. When that kind of serious cash starts flooding an industry, you know new innovation isn't far behind.Īnd what sounds more innovative than ‘solar paint’? A paint that can generate electricity, but still works as normal paint? The ability to turn not only a roof, but an entire building into a solar-generating surface? If that doesn't scream innovation, then I don't know what does. In 2016, the US solar industry contributed more than $150 billion in economic activity. aggregate function In database management, a function in which the values of multiple rows are grouped together to form a single value of more significant meaning or measurement, such as a sum, count, or max.
